Sometimes I succeed, and sometimes I don't...
Sometimes I fuck up so badly, I'm ashamed of myself...
Sometimes I excell and imagine I'm Icarus soaring independant and free, so close to the sun...
And too often I fall, in the same way we all do, ignominiously, in flames but as becomes the phoenix and the traveller of lives, I arise from the ashes, to start again, to renew the journey to the stars...
Look to the heavens and leave the earth behind you, don't look downwards or back into the past with regret, anger or sorrow... look inwards and rediscover yourself, and you will be free.
hi, bart!
ReplyDeletethat's okay, we learn from our mistakes...
:)
g'night!
How was your day off? I hope you enjoyed yourself.
ReplyDeleteBeen awhile since I read anything about Icarus. Wherever do you get this stuff? :)
Hehe, glad to see you're human too. Was beginning to wonder... ;)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great day off. Now I'm waiting for mine ;)
what a wonderful sentiment. a positive attitude in the face of disasters of our own making isnt always an easy thing to acheive!
ReplyDeleteIt is good to know about you being more optimistic about falling and then rising again...Keep trying
ReplyDeleteLooking inward is the only way I stay somwhat sane in my current situation - challenges of Africa, annoying housemates, personal difficulties...
ReplyDeleteStay true to that path and you know, perhaps better than I do, the rewards you will reap.
best,
Ali
Maybe its just my browser, but you've lost your cream background and I cant read the type against the dark brown.
ReplyDeleteComing back later - and if it isnt just a glitch, will even copy and paste into word so I can see what you said!
excellent post-- you are very enlightened..
ReplyDeleteAgain, a beautiful post. You truly are enlightened as far as I'm concerned.
ReplyDelete...and a good friend you are. You've succeded I must say.
ReplyDeleteThis text is absolutely right. I, too, think of such matters often and find that we all need some guidance. Partners, friends, collegues... We need people in our life that show us different ways.
